Jean-Michel BERGERON:
In my family, winegrowing is a passion passed on from fatherto son. I very soon followed in the footsteps of my father, whoowneda 10 hectare estate, by founding Château Haut La Valette in 1978.Over the years I have joined the two estates together to make a 22 hectare family-run vineyard. The most satisfyingthing today isto be able to work with my son, who has joined me at the Château after studying winegrowing and winemaking, and workexperience inseveral different appellations. Our characters are complementary, and his presence helps to invigorate and perpetuate a family heritage that I’m attached to.
